Two DC-10 aircraft for sale, originally produced by McDonnell Douglas, were purchased by the 10 Tanker Air Carrier Co. and modified to drop 12,000 gallons of water in eight seconds to fight blazes. They began service in 2006 and 2008 respectively and have been active to date.

The nice looking DC-10 for sale by EDF Model has a wingspan of 78 in. and a length of 70 in. Recommended power is by a pair of Typhoon 600-33 brushless motors driving WeMoTec Midi Fans. An engine in the tail is not recommended for the DC-10 for sale. All up weight is around 9 lbs.
